Our latest security dog in training, ‘Arnie’ has passed his entire Level 2 award for ‘General Purpose Security Dog’ with flying colours! His handler, Garry Wennington, couldn’t hide his excitement, and had this to say following Arnie’s brilliant news, “Arnie is coming up for 8 years old, and myself and the team are so proud of him. He’s come on leaps and bounds in the past few years and he really is an amazing dog. We have some more of our dogs in training, so I’m excited about what’s planned for the future.”
All Secure Site’s security guard dogs are trained through DWA Ltd. Their main objective is the training of competent dog teams, including training for explosives, drug detection and also general security. The DWA team includes retired police officers, with years of frontline experience to impart to all other security dog handlers.
In addition to ensuring effective security, experienced security dog handlers have the ability to replace multiple security officers, so can also provide a very cost-effective security alternative.
As well as being fully SIA-licensed security officers, all our security dog handlers are trained and qualified according to NASDU standards (National Association of Security Dog Users), which is recognised as the industry authority, as well as upholding strict codes of practice.
