1. Site Security Assessment & Planning

Each site assessed by qualified security professionals to identify the nature and details of the security issues and how they should be managed.

This assessment forms the basis of the unique security plan for the site.

2. Implementation

Security guards installed on site.

The security patrol plan route is QR coded at each key point. This enables it to be tracked and reported to the agreed frequency in the plan. Tracking and proof data is provided via an app.

Security guards’ phones are geo-fenced to ensure the data is sent from the exact location being guarded.

Each guard, as a lone-worker, must check-in once an hour.

3. Reporting

Site security status is reported daily

The guard is the ‘eyes and ears’ on site and regularly provides site security status reports

Reports include any changing situations and differences in security provision or actions required

Vetted, Licensed, Experienced

With the risk mitigation being paramount, we start by vetting our officers to BS 7858 to confirm at least 5 years unblemished history, with each being DBS checked and, of course, SIA licensed and highly experienced.

Where stipulated, security guards holding CSCS cards can be deployed. In addition, officers arrive prepared with full PPE including hard hat, hi-vis clothing and safety boots. Being CHAS accredited, Secure Site UK naturally takes site health and safety seriously, in order to protect all parties.

Properly Managed Assignments

Before commencing, detailed assignment instructions and site-specific risk assessments are completed by one of our guarding supervisors to ensure guards’ duties exactly meet the construction site security requirements. This starts with reporting directly to the Site Manager upon arrival to receive a briefing and, where possible, a site tour – with relevant risks noted and responsibility for keys accepted.

With site patrol intervals agreed, officers check perimeter and gate security, plant, materials with any damage – potential issues or incidents are time-stamped in the site log book.

Properly Supervised Officers

Officer supervision is key to a successfully managed site, and that’s what we believe sets our guarding service apart from the others. We conduct regular, unannounced supervisory site visits to check guard performance and welfare.
