VideoGuard Ultra is essentially like a permanent IP (internet protocol) CCTV system you’d see on buildings, but adapted for construction sites of any size. It uses the market-leading NVR (network video recorder) for guaranteed transmission of camera footage, like other high-end CCTV systems to remote monitoring stations and security officers to escalate.

Cameras are ideally positioned to provide full perimeter protection, with each camera watching the next and therefore immediately capturing intrusion over construction site hoarding or through gates or attacks on cameras themselves in a bid to disable them. Not with our system!

Plus VideoGuard Ultra can incorporate 30 metre dome cameras, 50 metre turret cameras, 80 metre bullet cameras all incorporating infra-red illumination for clear images in all light conditions or our ultra-long 300 metre range thermal cameras, meaning optimal camera choices for any demolition or construction site. In addition, all footage is recorded in HD which you have access to remotely for live viewing or playback of the last 30 days’ stored video from all cameras.

Digital video analytics is a Home Office approved detection protocol deployed in many of the UK’s highest security applications that utilises alterations in camera pixel patterns to automatically detect, track and classify triggers as intrusion, loitering, suspicious activity.

Among VideoGuard Ultra’s many potential analytic features is ANPR (automatic number plate recognition), head-counting, watching crane tower access, or even assisting fire detection in timber-framed buildings.

Importantly, the benefits are reliable and immediate detection of intruders, without the distraction of false alarms.

Using highly developed algorithms, the system instantly identifies the nature of the risk before transmitting the alarm event via the broadband system to our central monitoring station manned by security professionals.

This enables real-time intervention to combat threats, with escalation by officers to key-holders, on-site security or the Police, with the system having already filtered out nuisance false-alarms generated by sources such as moving trees, blown rubbish and wildlife.

VideoGuard Ultra is already fully compliant with BS 50132, but with minor changes to the specification it can be installed to BS 8418 – for guaranteed Police response – all of which we can advise on and arrange for you.

Yes, being an IP system, this is easy via our app, enabling you to arm/disarm the cameras remotely, receive triggers on your mobile and even watch live footage or the 30-day stored footage.
