VideoGUARD Tower

It’s the most advanced rapid-deployment CCTV tower system for larger scales construction sites that don’t have mains power. The VideoGuard Tower is completely self-sufficient with solar panels providing power all-year-round plus internal 4G wireless communication to transmit footage of intruders. This makes it perfect for early-stage construction sites, or prior to that in the demolition phase, when you need reliable perimeter, plant, compound and gate protection using the highest level of electronic security and video-analytic detection.

The system is based on traditional IP CCTV protocols, using long range 80m detection range day/night cameras incorporating infra-red illumination for clear images in all light conditions or ultra-long 300m range thermal cameras, with all footage recorded in HD on an NVR with 30 days’ storage.

With its market-leading 10 metre mast, the 4 HD cameras can see further and therefore detect intruders earlier, meaning a headstart on their capture by security or the Police.

Digital video analytics is a Home Office approved detection protocol deployed in many of the UK’s highest security applications, simply put by using alterations in camera pixel patterns to automatically detect, track and classify triggers as intrusion, loitering, suspicious activity. For example, cameras can monitor ‘suspicious’ activity outside your demolition or construction site and watch to see if this threat increases to a full risk or goes away.

Using highly developed algorithms, the system instantly identifies the nature of the risk an filters out false-alarms such as wildlife, branches or blown rubbish before transmitting the qualified alarm event via the broadband system to our central monitoring station manned by security professionals. This enables real-time intervention to combat intruders, vandals or thieves on your construction site, and enabling immediate escalation to your nominated key-holders, on-site security or potentially the Police.

VideoGuard Tower is already fully compliant with BS 50132, but with minor changes to the specification this system can be installed to BS 8418 for guaranteed Police response in the event of intruders being caught on cameras on your construction site. The VideoGuard Tower also incorporates voice-challenge speakers so monitoring station officers can verbally warn intruders they are being watched and Police are on their way.
